Getting 'LOST'

How does it sound to stay for a cause? While enjoying your little retreat in Penang, you are also contributing to a cause. This 40-room odd-ball resort has different layouts, theme and design for each room.

Lost Paradise was initially a home for pediatrician, Dr. Chew Yu Ghee and his family. This
beachfront property slowly grew into an artistically rustic resort. You do not have to go to Bali! Borders are not open anyways.. if you have been to Bali and would want to relive your getaway, drive yourself to this resort and get Lost!

You will have to slow down as you approach the location as the entrance of the resort is easy to miss. Unlike the regular luxury resort entrance, this happy-looking entrance is one you would mistaken as a for a school.

But you're not wrong, it is a school too! When the couple found their calling to start an international school with a distinction. It will welcome mainstream as well as students with special needs. The lessons are designed to cater to the needs and progression of the students. Ever wondered how normal students study together with those with special needs?

The heart warming history, personal touch and charity that is sowed from the Resort, are gems! Definitely not your regular 'international school'. The resort was built in the aim of generating income to sustain the school and other ongoing charitable deeds. The owners have not moved out and are still living on the property. If you bump into Mrs. Chew, who also happens to be the Principal of the School, so remember to ask for her! πŸ˜€

So, on a regular day, don't be surprised if you will bump into a bunch of happy kids playing basketball or having music lessons.

As a school, the resort is bright and colorful. The decorations around the resort are their personal collections from their travels. Hidden away from traffic and just a fall into the sea, this place is really amazing! Every section of the resort is bound to give you a different vibe.

There is a common pool if you dislike sea-water

OR!
You can flip into the sea from the resort!
Swim your way back and dunk into the pool.

There are five categories of rooms: Superior, Deluxe Suite, Deluxe Family Suite, Grand Family Suite and Maharaja Royal Family Suite (tsk! it has an open space bathtub) 😍

Recommended for couples or trios: The 'Pinang room' on the second floor! Home away from Home feel guaranteed. The bathroom comes with heavy wooden doors and windows, unique locks, the luxury of a bathtub, and an spacious balcony to watch the sunset from your room! Not your luxury hotel 'lego-balcony', but a really spacious balcony you can camp out with your sleeping!

Aside from free breakfast, the restaurant serves Chinese and Asian delights, BBQ-pit, hangout spaces, affordable spa, the millennial-special is that, this resort is very-very Insta worthy. Oooooh! 80s special, try if you can still hopscotch!

Those who absorb details and elegance, look out for the interiors, walls, stairs, drive-ways, entrance.. it's every where! What better way to get a good night's sleep, knowing you are contributing to a good cause...
If you have stayed here, let me know what you liked about this place... Cheers!
